The Beehive Garden furniture received a well needed lick of paint from Local Charity OpenDoor, based in the Beehive, Grays. Open Door runs groups with young people, predominantly Care leavers aged between 17-25 who have been identified as being socially isolated or at risk of becoming socially isolated. The aim is to help them develop new skills, interests and activities, working with them to build their self-esteem, confidence and independence. They also encourage and help the individuals to get into employment, volunteering, social activities etc. With the help and supervision of Paul Wilding, their current group did a fantastic job volunteering to paint our furniture in the Beehive garden as you can see.
