Open Door’s Board brings a wealth of experience to the organisation, including project management, financial management, negotiation, employment law, community engagement, health and social care, advocacy and networking.
They oversee and govern the operations of Open Door, working with the Chief Executive to enhance and protect our reputation.
We are fortunate to have a committed and hard-working Board that actively support the day-to-day operations of Open Door as well as supporting business and organisational development.
Chairperson: Mags Fall
Mags is an experienced senior social worker who worked with Thurrock Council Adolescent Team for over 7 years. Prior to working for Thurrock Council she managed a successful housing advice service. Mags has a wealth of experience working with both young people and adults. As well as serving as Chair Person Mags is also the Board Member responsible for Safeguarding. She is passionate about Open Door’s and providing the best possible help and support for the people who use our services.
Vice-Chair: Yash Gupta MBE
Yash is Open Door’s vice–Chair. He brings experience in educational psychology, school governance and as a local councillor, providing understanding and empathy with regards to the needs of Open Door’s client groups.
Open Door relies on the commitment and support of our board of Trustees.
If you are interested in helping support a local charity and can give a few hours a month of your time we would love to hear from you. As a Trustee your role would be to listen, advise and guide the charity in its development and delivery. The board meet every 2 months, early evening.
